To whom it may concern at Canon:
We are owners and/or users of the Canon EOS300d (Kiss/Digital Rebel).
We are happy with the cameras hardware: The CMOS sensor, the body design and so on. Image quality is superb! Thanks!
However we are not happy with the inability to choose FEC (Flash Exposure Compensation), Metering Mode and AutoFocus Mode.
We think the lack of these abilities seriously cripples the use and operation of the camera in many shooting situations.
We believe that all this could be solved with a firmware update!
Since we have already paid for the camera we think that it would be fair and in your interest to make such an update freely available, thereby keeping your customers happy. However we would consider paying a small amount for such an update/add-on (about U.S. $50).
We would rather see that you, yourself, develop the firmware in this direction, than that we will have to consult third party programmers/hackers to make these changes!
